R&R in Pakistan ( Travelling in the Northern Pakistan)

Travelling through Pakistan is not something that anyone can take. For those who are used to travelling in a comfort, Pakistan may not be the best bet for that purpose.

Travelling intercity in the Northern areas (KPK) really gives you a new set of experience. A van which is called 'flying coach'  will take you to any destinations around. A seat of 3 people becomes a seat for 4 people. Squeezed in. No personal space. The driver drives like something is chasing his  vehicle. I guess that is why it is called the 'flying coach'. But I have to give the credit to them as they are really expert drivers.

Tea is served.

For a long journey, there will be  places that these transports take a break in a Pakistani style R&R ( Rest and Relax). For the northern areas destinations a simple food outlet which sells doodth pathi ( Tea with milk)  capati, dall, chicken and sometime rice are provided. Food is always good in Pakistan and most of the time they are served very hot. Hygiene level is questionable but since the chay, doodth pathi ,the capati and some dishes are served very hot, therefore you do not worry about it.

    Sitting down eating Area

Most of the R&R Building are just sheds with an open eating area and some have a praying area. Some of the seating areas are regular table and chairs while others are just a sit down places where you can seat on the same level as the food served ( as if you are sitting on the floor.) Some are using the traditional bed , cahpoy, as a seat.
